POST MOVE SLUMP

This is the third move the cats have done. They're quite used to it now. But I think Clarence is pretty fed up of it.

PARIS

One of my very best friends Tonje bought me a very good birthday present. She is a mind reader.

 

SEQUENCE

It's been quite a full on month, so I took a couple of hours the other evening to sit down, block everything out and work on some sequencing for my yoga course. I have felt so overwhelmed recently, with lots of house related (both purchasing and selling) issues, so it's important to take the time out from it all. Although I don't do it as often as I should probably, as it's easier said than done! But I always feel so much better afterwards.

I'm at the stage now where I've started to prepare playlists for my sequences, and working out what fits and what doesn't. It's much like getting a DJ set ready. This really excites me, as I will be honest, music in most yoga classes is quite predictable, so I'm looking forward to getting yoga to Nick Cave and Massive Attack on the go.

DINE

So the dining area is EVENTUALLY finished! Paul's parents came over last Saturday and helped us put smoe frames and shelves up. The bay tree has moved home to next to the dining area window. Feels wonderful to have this area finished!

LAMP

I love these industrial, metal desk lamps. This one needs rewiring. But for know he's sitting pretty on some shelving.

ALMOST THERE

So here we are. Almost 10 months after purchase. This room was initially a small living room and a very small bedroom! We knocked the wall down to create a lovely wide, open living/ dining area! Light floods this room! I'm taking the photo from the half way point, to the right is the "dining" area, which isn't quite finished yet!!! Patience, patience (saying this to myself, as well as to readers!)

It's not secret that I am a huge fan of H&M homeware. Such wonderful, affordable wonders! These two tea light holders have not actually been used yet, they are so pretty. But they are doing a Stirling job of looking pretty on the coffee table!

One of my best friends is getting married next week! I cannot WAIT, and she sent me the most lovely thank you card after her hen night. Possibly the most thoughtful bride ever!

TULSA

Friday is celebrated with my favourite Larry Clark book, Tulsa. He is one of my favourite photographer/ directors in the whole world. A bit predictable? Maybe, but there's no denying his truth and talent. Every picture taken as if by accident and perfectly timed.

Larry was born in Tulsa and always had a camera in his hand from a young age. Tulsa caused controversy when released in 1971 due to the graphic content of sex/ drugs and the like, following youths growing through self destruction.

We have a couple of his prints, in the big pile of "things to hang" which we can't do until the decorating is finished!!
